The Delaware State Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for two suspicious male subjects who have reportedly followed several female juveniles in the Keenwick by the Bay development near Fenwick Island.
According to the DSP, the latest incident occurred about 10:35 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, as an 11-year-old girl was walking in the 37000 block of Pine Road in the Keenwick by the Bay development. (Local schools were closed for students on Nov. 10.) The girl told troopers that she had noticed a male subject operating a white Ford F-250 pickup truck following her. She said the subject stopped and exited the truck and began approaching her, at which time she ran and the subject removed a cellular phone from his pocket and appeared to take her picture. The suspect then fled the area, police said.
Troopers said the same subject and vehicle have been seen in the development on at least three other occasions. A second white male subject has also been seen in the vehicle, they noted. There have been no injuries in any of the reported incidents.
The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 50s, with blondish-gray hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark blue shirt and work boots. He was reported to be operating a white Ford F-250 4x4 pickup truck with a Baltimore Ravens emblem on the rear. It also has tinted windows and a green circular emblem with the name Johnson in the middle on the driver’s side door.
The second suspect was described as a white male in his 50s with blonde-gray hair.
The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who spots this vehicle or subjects to contact the 9-1-1 call center or Detective Timothy Shockley at (302) 856-5850, ext. 213, texting keyword “DSP” plus a message to 274637 (CRIMES), through Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or via the Internet at www.tipsubmit.com.
