Delaware State Police detectives this week charged a 53-year-old Dagsboro man who is a registered sex offender in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl at the residence of mutual friends.
Police said the teenage victim was visiting at the residence of an acquaintance in Dagsboro on Feb. 9 when she was approached by Leroy N. Satchell, 53, of Dagsboro, who began to make inappropriate comments toward her. According to police, Satchell and the victim both have mutual acquaintances who reside at the residence. Satchell then is alleged to have initiated inappropriate contact with the victim that led to the criminal investigation.
Delaware State Police on Thursday, Feb. 10, charged Satchell – who has been registered as a Tier II Sex Offender in the State of Delaware since August of 2000 – with Rape First Degree, Attempted Rape First Degree and Sex Offender/Unlawful Sexual Conduct Against a Child. Satchell was held in Sussex Correctional Institute on $150,000 secured bond.
Satchell has been registered as a Tier II Sex Offender in the State of Delaware since August of 2000.
