BREAKING NEWS: Police seeking Millville man in connection with burglary

The Delaware State Police announced Tuesday, Sept. 2, that they are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Millville man who is wanted in connection to a residential burglary that occurred on July 28.

Investigators said Vernon Stein, 33, of Millville unlawfully entered his parents residence, located in the Waverly Development on Route 26 in Dagsboro, and removed a large floor safe from the master bedroom. The safe contained a large sum of money, jewelry and other personal effects of his parents, police said. Additionally, they said, a .32 caliber handgun, .38-caliber handgun and a .22 rifle were taken.

Police said they believe Stein may be in the Bethany Crest area in Millville or in the Ocean City, Md., area. Arrest warrants for Burglary 2nd degree, Felony theft, and Theft of a firearm have been issued for Vernon Stein.
