Nancy “Na” Alexander Anderson, 93, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug 19, 2018, surrounded by family at her home in Naples, Fla. She was born in 1925 in Seaford, Del., daughter of Harry and Bernice Alexander.
Anderson was a lifelong dedicated artist, first attending Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, Pa., then belonging to the art league in Rehoboth Beach, Del., as well as in Bonita Springs, Fla. She was known for her talent with oils and watercolors. Her artwork has been inspiring, and her spirit was just as creative and beautiful.
Anderson was also known for her knack for keeping in contact with family and friends via texts and emails well into her 90s, right up until her health prevented her from doing so.
In her younger years, she worked as a secretary for the Seaford (Del.) School District and for the University of Delaware’s Virden Center in Lewes, Del.
Anderson was preceded in death by her parents and by her eldest child, Candace Louise Anderson. She is survived by three children, Patricia Foresman, Alex Anderson and Andrea A. O’Day, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford, Del., on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018, at 1 p.m. Condolences may be sent online at www.melsonfuneralservices.com
