Joseph H. Kamrad, 72, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2018. Born in Trenton, N.J., he was a longtime resident of Pennington, N.J.
Kamrad worked as supervisor of investigations for the State of New Jersey’s DMAHS/Human Services, and upon his retirement moved to Lewes, Del. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.
He was an active member of the community and coached T-ball, YMCA basketball and Little League baseball. He was a lifetime member of the Pennington Fire Company and served as assistant chief. He was also a member and past commander of the Hopewell Valley American Legion Post 339.
Kamrad was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. Kamrad and Katherine M. Kamrad of Pennington, N.J. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carole McNamee Kamrad; his son, Michael Kamrad and his wife, Colleen; and his grandsons, Declan and Breccan Kamrad.
Services were to be held Sept. 19, 2018, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes, Del. Burial was to follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Del.
