Ron Drosdzal and his family have always been very generous forces in the community.
Their business, Armand’s Pizza, in the Marketplace at Sea Colony, has consistently done dine-and-donate efforts to help local non-profit organizations raise money for their respective missions. We know this to be true because we have included scores of these efforts in our Calendar pages over the years.
In November 2016, Ron felt his left side go numb while he was at his Bethany Beach home. As many of us do, he grabbed a couple aspirin and went about his day. At the gym later, it happened again. He took a few more aspirin, but then ended up heading to the emergency department at Beebe. That was where he learned he had a stroke.
On page 28 of this week’s issue, you can learn more about Drosdzal’s experience at Beebe — and the affection and respect he now has both for his doctor and the care he received at the facility. He contacted us a short while ago and told us how he was wary of going locally for medical attention, but he came out of this with a new appreciation for the quality of care he got at Beebe.
To show his thanks, Armand’s is donating a portion of all October sales to Beebe, earmarked to help with the construction of their new Millville facility. Kudos to Beebe and Drosdzal.
