At the Sept. 14 council meeting, it was announced that Councilman Schrader resigned and his replacement is being sought. The Town Charter gives Town Council authority to appoint for a vacancy.
The Council need not look further than the May 2018 election results, where Tim Shaw received just slightly fewer votes than Schrader.
Tim Shaw served on council from 2016 to 2018, and worked diligently and productively. He campaigned to continue working for South Bethany, and is not only the most logical choice to fill the vacancy but also the best choice.
Town Council, let’s honor the election results and appoint Tim Shaw.
