Ruth W. McFall, 77, of Frankford, Del., formerly of Yeadon, Pa., passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. She was born in Darby, Pa., on April 18, 1941, daughter of the late William H. Wells and Rose Marie (Burns) Wells.
McFall graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy high school in Ashland, Pa. She was heavily involved with the Loyal Order of the Moose and held several positions over the years. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her cats, and hoped to brighten someone’s day with some sort of chocolate or candy that she always seemed to have available.
In addition to her parents, McFall was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter E. McFall in 2016; a brother, Bill Wells; and a sister, Kay Patterson. She is survived by her three sons, Paul K. Wood of Ridley Park, Pa., Robert Wood of New Bloomfield, Pa., and Kevin Draughon of Bridgeville, Del.; a brother, Jack Wells of East Lansdowne, Pa., and two sisters, Joan McCall of Westminster, Mass., and Rose Marie Wells of Media, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Crystal DeVincentis, Jeffrey Burns, Ashlee Morris, Robert Steven Wood, Alexandria Wood, Sherri Wood, Lauren Wood and Logan Daniel Hasiuk; and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of McFall’s life will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, Del., where friends and family may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date, at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro, Del.
