Letter — Carper earns support of Frankford resident

Editor:

I would like to recommend Democrat Sen. Tom Carper as the best choice in the general election on Nov. 6. Sen. Carper has a distinguished career in public service for the State of Delaware. He has served as state treasurer, in the U.S. House of Representatives, governor of Delaware and U.S. senator. Mr. Carper is seeking his third term as our senior senator.

He has worked with others as our senator, on such projects as dune replenishment on our beaches and securing grants to the University of Delaware in Lewes for the study of marine life. On the national level, he serves on prominent Senate committees, such as: the Senate Committee on Environment & Public Works, Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs, and the Senate Finance Committee. Sen. Carper played a decisive role in assuring the Affordable Care Act was not canceled.

Throughout his distinguished service in elected office, Sen. Carter has stood out for his successful efforts to work will colleagues of both political parties. His leadership and experience are needed now more than ever in these politically turbulent times.

I remind you that “Together We Can” return Tom Carper to the U.S. Senate. Therefore I ask you to join me and please vote for Tom Carper for the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
