IRSD partners with $tand By Me to offer free scholarship workshop

The Indian River School District is partnering with $tand By Me to host a free scholarship workshop and fair on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Indian River High School in Dagsboro.

The workshop is aimed at helping high school students and their families understand the resources available to identify scholarships and to share essential tips on how to write effective essays.

There will also be a scholarship fair after the workshop, at which students and parents can meet representatives of local colleges and organizations that will be offering scholarship opportunities to students this year.

“This is a unique opportunity for students and their families to meet the funders and ask important questions before submitting scholarship applications,” said IRSD representative Dave Maull.

Indian River High School is located at 29772 Armory Road in Dagsboro.

Students and parents can visit the Indian River School District website at community.irsd.net to download an informational flyer and register for the event, or contact Michele Murphy at (302) 732-1522 for additional information.
