In the Nov. 9, 2018, article “South Bethany to consider town-wide parking permits,” we erroneously reported that Sue Callaway initially favored townwide parking permits. In fact, she did not initially support this, although she came to change her mind.

Also in our Nov. 9 issue, we reported the results of statewide elections. We admit to being easily mesmerized by large tables of numbers, but in our Nov. 9 story we transposed a number and in the process accidentally made it extra-big. U.S. Sen. Tom Carper received 11,555 absentee votes, not 11.5 million total votes. He received 217,385 total votes, to Rob Arlett’s 137,127. Our editors will be doing a math refresher this week, focusing on commas.

SMS Field Hockey

In last week’s Selbyville Middle School field hockey coverage, we incorrectly identified the Indians’ goal scorer in their 1-1 tie with Millsboro. The goal was actually scored by Kendall McCabe. We apologize for the error.

We shall abstain from turkey.
