Millville Town Hall and its next-door neighbor, Millville United Methodist Church, will transform into a holiday shopping hub on Saturday, Dec. 8, during the sixth annual Holiday Market.
The market, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will feature approximately 30 vendors in the two buildings. Tables will be overflowing with goodies to buy. Some of the treasures to be found include hand-crafted jewelry, vintage and refurbished Christmas decorations, quilted items, American Girl doll clothes, sea-glass artwork and jewelry, needlework art, homemade honey and even Christmas stockings for pets.
In addition to all of that, shoppers will have an opportunity to win gift baskets and other prizes donated by nearly two dozen local businesses, including restaurants, groceries stores, book stores, gift shops, liquor stores and pet shops.
All proceeds from the raffles will benefit Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. Millville Town Manager Debbie Botchie said the Ronald McDonald House is a cause “near and dear” to her family, as she has a granddaughter with special needs whose family has been the beneficiary of that charity numerous times.
Raffle tickets cost $1 each or $5 for six. Donations for the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware will also be accepted.
The Indian River High School Cross Country Boosters will also be selling homemade soups, baked goods and other lunch food for any shoppers who work up an appetite while perusing all the items at the market, Botchie said.
Parking during the Holiday Market will be available at Millville United Methodist Church.
