Anthony Benito “Tony” Capone, 83, passed away on the evening of Dec. 6, 2018, at home in Dagsboro, Del. He was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and lived in Seat Pleasant and then Clinton, Md., for 33 years, where he and his wife, Joan, raised their four children.
Capone graduated from high school at 16 and began working for Washington Gas, eventually retiring after 40 years with the company. The couple moved to coastal Delaware nearly 25 years ago. Joan Capone passed away on Jan. 1, 2018.
Capone is survived by his sons Joe and his wife, Shereen, and Danny; daughters, Lisa Dorn and her husband, Dwight, and Patti Smith and her husband, Ken; granddaughter, Stephanie Dorn; sister, Catherine Prosser and her husband, Bob; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at 1 p.m., at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, Del.
