Garth B. Worrell, 77


Garth B. Worrell, 77, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Maple Shade, N.J., passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at his home. He was born in Camden, N.J., on Oct. 1, 1941, son of the late Washington Fowler Worrell and Ruth (Schwartz) Worrell.

He retired in 2006 from work as a customer service representative for Commerce Bank. He was a life member of the NRA, a 40-year member of the Sports Car Club of America and an avid reader, especially of World War II history.

Worrell is survived by his wife of 26.5 years, Maryann (Berghone) Worrell; two sons, J. Craig Worrell and his wife, Nikki, and Keith Worrell, both of Waterford, N.J.; three stepsons, Harry Sheilds of Atco, N.J., Michael Sheilds of Maple Shade, N.J., and Eric Sheilds of Browns Mills, N.J.; and seven step-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life was to be held Dec. 18, 2018, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Millsboro, Del.
