Louis A. “Lou” Mueller, 93, passed quietly on Dec. 30, 2018, at Delaware Hospice in Milford, Del. Born on Jan. 28, 1925, to Max and Theresa Mueller, his home was in Baltimore, Md., until he joined the U.S. Navy at the outbreak of World War II.
At the end of the war, he returned to Baltimore and attended the University of Maryland. He worked at Mueller Construction Company and for the City of Baltimore until his retirement. In 1998, he and his wife, Jeanne, moved to Ocean View, Del., where he lived until his death.
He was an active member at World Gym, going five days a week. He also enjoyed working on his HO model railroad layout, as well as spending time at the beach in Bethany Beach, Del., and on the golf course.
Mueller is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanne; a daughter, Deborah Mueller-Mendoza of Richmond, Calif.; and two granddaughters, Jacqueline Theresa Mendoza of Richmond, Calif., and Neily Rosko of Bridgeville, Pa.
There will be no services, but a celebration of Mueller’s life was to be held.
