Robert Lake “Bob” Limerick, 71, passed away on Jan. 18, 2019. He was diagnosed the day after Christmas with a very aggressive form of pancreatic cancer, which moved quickly. He did not have any symptoms until mid-December. Surgery and chemo were not an option.
After 37 years of marriage, his spouse, Chris, knows Limerick would have wanted friends and family to picture him at the wheel of his 1957 Ford Fairlane, driving to the local Dairy Queen, or at the helm of one of their many boats, or walking with one of his loving and devoted collies in the field behind their house. He would want everyone to remember him as strong and brave, which he was until the end of his life.
Limerick chose to be cremated. A celebration of his life will be planned in Delaware or St. Michaels, Md., in the summer or fall, when the weather is warmer. Memorial donations can be made to Collie Rescue Inc.; P.O. Box 221982; Chantilly, VA, 22033, or to Companionate Care Hospice; 20163 Office Cir., Ste. 22; Georgetown, DE 19947.
“Thank you in advance for all your kind thoughts and good wishes. I need some quiet time right now to connect with family and navigate a path to life without Bob. Treasure each moment and find peace in simple, every day routines and pleasures.”
