Cynthia “Marie” Walker, 76, of Laurel, Del., passed away on Jan. 18, 2019, in her home, with her loved ones by her side, after a valiant battle with a long illness. She was born April 19, 1942, in Wilmington, Del., one of four children of Dorothy Reed and Charles Cobourn.
Walker attended Newark High School, graduating with the Class of 1960. She worked as a waitress/entertainer at the Three Little Bakers Dinner Theater in Kennett Square, Pa. She enjoyed going on trips, watching movies (especially musicals), reading and studying the Bible.
Walker was an animated storyteller and had many creative, artistic talents. She didn’t have much, but what she had, she made beautiful. She had a strong faith in God and relied on her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for comfort during difficult illnesses throughout her life. She kept a positive spirit and always had a song on her lips and love in her heart.
