Elva Louise Dorman Cash, 92, passed from her worldly life on Jan. 29, 2019. She died in the presence of family members at home in Georgetown, Del. She was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Harbeson, Del., and spent most of her life in Sussex County.
She graduated with a GED from James Groves High School in 1970. She worked in production at Arrow Safety Device in Georgetown for nearly 50 years. She had been the family matriarch since the passing of her husband, Marvin Cash, in 1992.
Cash is survived by her brothers, Carlton, Bill, Roger and Richard Dorman; a sister, Rebecca Davi; her five children, Gary Cash, Carolyn Wells, Jeffery Cash, Ellen Donovan and Beverly Mitchell; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were to be held Feb. 5, 2019, at Melson Funeral Services in Frankford, Del., with interment at Redmen Memorial Cemetery in Dagsboro, Del. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bethesda U.M. Church; 25073 Bethesda Rd.; Georgetown, DE 19947, where she was a long-time member of the church, and the Bethesda United Women’s Group.
