Marylou P. Johnson, 81, of Selbyville, Del., died Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, surrounded by family, at home. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Homer H. Pepper and Louise (Crozier) Pepper.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, and a life member of the Roxana Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary since 1983 and an ambulance attendant from 1979 to 1999.
Johnson was preceded in death by two brothers, Hance J. Pepper Sr. and Emerson H. Pepper. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Henry C. Johnson III of Selbyville; a daughter, Arlene J. Callahan and her husband, Mark, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; three sons, Henry Clay Johnson IV and his wife, Wanda, Glenn P. Johnson Sr. and his wife, Julie, and Keith W. Johnson and his wife, Rebecca, all of Selbyville; two sisters, Elizabeth P. McCabe of Bishopville, Md., and Jeanne P. Moore of Newark, Del.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was to be held Feb. 5, 2019, at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville, Del., with the Rev. Cliff Toomey officiating and burial to follow in Roxana (Del.) Cemetery.
