Billy H. Baker, 88, of Fenwick Island, Del., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at home on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019. He was born in Jenkins, Ky., on Nov. 10, 1930, to the late Bessie M. Phipps Baker and Robert Patton Baker.
Baker served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He retired from Wall Products, where he worked as a salesman for approximately 20 years. Baker was a member of Fenwick Island Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Baker was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert P. Baker Jr. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Peggy S. Baker of Fenwick Island; two children, Brenda Joyce Morgan and her husband, Kevin, of Centreville, Md., and Jay H. Baker and his wife, Ginger, of Westminster, Md.; his grandchildren, Tony and Tammy Morgan, Dale Ann Mitchell, Drew and Casey Baker, Lisa and Zach Hinton, Ashli and Brandon Johnson, and Shannon Morgan; and six great-grandchildren.
A chapel service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Del.
