Evelyn S. “Babe” (Simpson) Clark of Dagsboro, Del., formerly of Elsmere and Marshallton, Del., passed away at her home, after a short battle with cancer, and went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 19, 2019.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a past president and 60-plus-years life member of Elsmere Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Clark was a homemaker most of her life, but did work for Commercial Credit and Home Federal Savings & Loan. She moved to Dagsboro in 1987.
Clark was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William H. Clark Jr.; her parents, T. Clifford and M. Naomi Simpson; her brother, T. William Simpson; her sister, Jean V. Haigh; and son-in-law, James T. Curran. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Wardell and Carol Curran; her son, David Clark and his wife, Leslie; her grandchildren, James T. Curran Jr. and his wife, Niki, Amanda Wardell, Stephanie Wardell, Teresa Campbell and her husband, Ben, Michelle Mitchell and her husband, Matt, and D.J. Clark and his wife, Chrissy; her great-grandsons, Benjamin Campbell, Mason Campbell, Hunter Curran, J.T. Curran, Grayson Clark, M.J. Mitchell, Nolan Clark and Miles Mitchell; her sister, Virginia Armstrong; and her brother-in-law Graham K. Bloxom.

A visitation and funeral service were to be held Feb. 25, 2019, at Melson Funeral Services, Ocean View, Del., followed by funeral service and interment on Feb. 26, 2019, at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, Del.
