Jo-Ann M. Drennan, 62, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, surrounded by her family and friends at Christiana Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1956, in Perth Amboy, N.J., grew up in Woodbridge, N.J., and lived the past 12 years in Millsboro, Del.
She was known as the matriarch of her large family. She was quick-witted and touched all of them with her kindness, but was always a source of stability. She enjoyed being around family, especially her granddaughter, Addison. She also enjoyed bingo and enjoyed winning at playing cards with her friends. She worked until she had her daughter, Danielle, and decided at that point that serving as a fulltime mom was more important to her than anything else.
Drennan was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy; her mother, Margaret; and father, Stephen. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, John; her daughter, Danielle; her granddaughter, Addison; her sister, Cindy Fee and her fiancé, Jeff Fowler; three brothers, Stephen Fishinger and his wife, Linda, Jim Fishinger and his wife, Laurie, and Daniel Fishinger and his wife, JoAnn; her adored nieces and nephews; and many friends in her life, especially Eva Zuckerman and Mary Natale.
A viewing was held May 1, 2019, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del.
