I agree with the concept of limited government/lower taxes with one exception — our schools. Not supporting improving our schools seems counter-productive.
On May 7 we need to support our students and teachers by funding the Indian River School referendum.
Our schools are overcrowded. The teachers do not have enough time to answer questions of students with hands raised. We have over 10 teachers who do not have a permanent assigned classroom. They are forced to wheel their materials around the school in carts from room to room.
They do not have option of making “learning stations” on bulletin boards in their classes. It’s time to step up and address these issues. It’s the future for all of us.
