Gary Atwood Fowler, 67, of Millsboro, Del., passed away in the care of his family and Delaware Hospice on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was born on Jan. 12, 1952, in Baltimore, Md., to the late William and Denise Seville Fowler.
He was a retired cement finisher. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Fowler was an amazing man who was quiet, but strong-spirited, never knew a stranger and was willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed his home and family very much.
In addition to his parents, Fowler was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Wright, and a son, Todd Moreland. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Arlene Fowler of Millsboro; two children, Aaron Moreland of Millsboro, and Scott Moreland and his wife, Lorie, of Dothan, Ala.; a sister, Francine Willhide and her husband, Larry, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a nephew, Brien Willhide, his wife, Linh, and their son, Erik Willhide, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; siblings-in-law, Carolyn and Howard DuVal, Christine and Albert Potts, and Elizabeth and Roy Dailey; six grandchildren, Amanda, Christie, Bradley, Todd Moreland Jr., Kayla and Sarah; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was to be held May 13, 2019, at Crossroads Community Church, Georgetown, Del., with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Millsboro, Del.
