Muhlenberg College celebrated its 171st commencement on May 19. During the ceremony, which was held on the College Green, 502 students were awarded their undergraduate degrees, including Justin Revel of Millsboro, who graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history.
The college also conferred honorary degrees to commencement speaker author and attorney Scott Turow, as well as former Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Treasury Sarah Bloom Raskin and chief of the Wills Eye Pediatric Ophthalmology & Ocular Genetics Service Dr. Alex Levin.
Founded in 1848, Muhlenberg is a private, four-year residential liberal arts college located in Allentown, Pa., approximately 90 miles west of New York City. With an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 2,200 students, the college is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is a member of the Centennial Conference, in which Muhlenberg competes in 22 varsity sports.
