Linda Lee Bravo, 70, of Bethany Beach, Del., formerly of Maryland, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019, in South Bethany, Del. She was born March 28, 1949, in Fort Meade, Md., daughter of the late Charles Eugene Matthews and the late Betty Margaret (Bentley) Matthews.
Bravo was known lovingly as “Grandmother,” a proud grandmother to five. She was the center point of her family and loved bringing the family together. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend.
In addition to her parents, Bravo was preceded in death by her husband, Eduardo Manuel Bravo, and a sister, Judy Fultz. She is survived by her two sons, Scot Kight and his partner, Stacy Foster, of Ashburn, Va., and Zachary Kight and his wife, Maria, of Brookeville, Md.; five grandchildren, Ashley Kight, Amina Foster, Bradley Bookwalter, Ben Bookwalter and Bruce Kight; extended family members; her three dogs; and countless friends.
A celebration of Bravo’s life will be held at noon, with visitation starting at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, Del. Since she loved her rescue dogs as family, in lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to Best Friends Animal Society (https://bestfriends.org/).
