Carl M. Freeman Companies announces new staff roles

The Carl M. Freeman Companies recently announced that Nick Freeman has been named the director of Commercial Operations and Kate Cramer has been named as Strategic Marketing coordinator for the Rockville, Md., based real estate and land development company.

As director, Nick Freeman will head third-party management services, drive acquisition of new commercial properties and establish new ways for the company to participate in commercial real estate spaces. A graduate of Georgetown University, he has been working with the company since returning to the area from New York City, where he worked with a public real estate investment trust on an acquisition team as a financial analyst.

Over the last few years, Freeman has been working with the Carl M. Freeman Foundation on the design of their new office in the Bayside development located in West Fenwick. He has also been leading the conversion of Tusculum Farm from a family-owned residential property to a bed-and-breakfast and events venue.

“Nick will bring his unique perspective of the history of the Carl M. Freeman Companies, mixed with the new experience economy driven by catering to two demographics — Baby Boomers and Millennials,” said Michelle Freeman, chief executive officer. “It is a great time to have Nick’s leadership as we dive into this fascinating time in the retail/commercial real estate world.”

Nick Freeman resides in Washington, D.C., and will head up the commercial division for the Carl M. Freeman Companies out of their Rockville office.

Kate Cramer, a graduate of University of Delaware, recently earned her master’s degree in business administration from Wilmington University. She will be working out of the Bear Trap Dunes office and will provide her analytical expertise and support the development team with the anticipated growth of the company’s current communities and future projects to come.
