Curran releases new novel, ‘Bombs Aweigh — On to Vietnam’

“Bombs Aweigh — On to Vietnam” is the third book of the “Young Mariner” trilogy by local author Walter F. Curran.

In the story set in 1967, the young merchant mariner William Connolly sails to his next adventure on a World War II-vintage ship carrying bombs, weapons and supplies to Vietnam and Thailand. Connolly faces greater responsibility and harsh consequences as he and the captain, a recovering alcoholic, deal with a crew of drunks, druggies and borderline psychotics.
