Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) will start a session at Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville on Sept. 17, running nine weeks, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each Tuesday.
“Millions of people have gone through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace. University and learned God’s ways of handling money,” organizers said. “They’ve worked a plan, rewritten their stories, and changed their futures.”
On average, they said, FPU graduates pay off $5,300 in debt and save $2,700 in only the first 90 days. As a result, they noted, their giving increases by 30 percent.
FPU consists of a nine-week video curriculum taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey, and it incorporates small-group discussions that aim to encourage accountability and discipleship. Groups meet once a week for 90 minutes.
“The course is just as fun as it is practical!” organizers added.
The nine-week Financial Peace University starts Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Praise Room at Salem U.M. Church.
“Learn to handle money the way your grandmother did. This class will help you learn to save, invest, and to live like no one else so you can live and give like no one else.”
There is a material cost, organizers noted, but child care will be provided. To register for the class, go to www.daveramsey.com. For more information, call Burt Murray (302) 228-2758.
