Edna L. McGee, 94, of Selbyville, Del., died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at her home. She was born in Chester, Pa., daughter of the late Morris W. LaRue and Catherine (Dever) LaRue.
She had retired from work as owner and hostess at the former Libby’s restaurant in Fenwick Island, Del.
McGee was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene D. McGee, in 2007; three brothers, Morris W. LaRue Jr., Walter N. LaRue and Frank LaRue; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Hoffman. She is survived by two sons, Rick McGee of West Fenwick, and E. David McGee and his wife, Patty, of Dagsboro, Del.; two grandchildren, Heather Jollie and Jessica Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Adrianna and Matthew Mitchell; four sisters, Myrtle Blizzard of Selbyville, Jean Tryens of West Fenwick, Katherine “Cass/Kathy” Garvine of West Fenwick, and Emily LaReau of Bethany Beach, Del.; and two brothers, Robert LaRue of Florida and Ronnie LaRue of Wilmington, Del.
A celebration of McGee’s life was to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at the Salted Rim restaurant, 27 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean View, Del.
