Another annual Forget-Me-Not sales campaign hosted by G&E Hocker’s Supermarkets brought in $5,000. Hocker’s donated the proceeds to representatives of the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter during a check presentation on Aug. 19. Pictured, from left, are: Ron Holloway, manager at Hocker’s Super Center in Clarksville; Donna Blanchard, cashier who sold 624 forget-me-nots; Vivian Goodman, Walk to End Alzheimer’s (WTEA) Committee member; Aimee Isaac, advocacy chair, WTEA Committee; state Sen. The $5,000 donation will be used toward the chapter’s annual Rehoboth Beach Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which raises funds for Alzheimer’s research, and local care and support prgrams. This year’s Walk takes place Saturday, Sept. 28, at Grove Park. Hocker’s is also a Walk to End Alzheimer’s sponsor. So far, Hocker’s has donated a total of $85,748 to the chapter.
