Connie Sue Long Hudson, 73, passed away on Aug. 27, 2019, at her home, in Dagsboro, Del., surrounded by family and in the care of Delaware Hospice. She was born on Sept. 20, 1945, to the late Andrew and Reba Long in Dagsboro, Del.
She married Charles Hudson on Sept. 28, 1963, in Frankford, Del. Together they raised three children and enjoyed having six grandchildren. Hudson was a very pleasant person who loved to have fun and just adored being with her family. She loved music, listening to the radio, boating, clamming and big family dinners. She was a dog lover — Pomeranians especially. She was such a favorite with children that kids who weren’t even hers called her “Mom.”
Hudson is survived by her husband, Charles; her children, Barbara Perez and her husband, Luis, of Dagsboro, Charles Hudson Jr. and his wife, Jacquelyn, of Frankford, and Cody Hudson and his wife, Wendy, of Frankford; her grandchildren, Taylor Paige Dougherty, Veronica Perez, Tiffany Hudson Lily Hudson and Luis Perez Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Caliana and Catelyn Velasquez; other extended family members; and many friends.
A viewing and funeral service were to be held Aug. 30, 2019, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del., officiated by the Rev. Mike Vaughn. Interment followed in Carey’s Cemetery, Frankford, Del. Floral tributes are welcomed. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
