Steve J. Kemp, 72

Steve J. Kemp, 72, passed away peacefully in his home in Selbyville Del., on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, after a brief illness. He was formerly a resident of Bowie, Md., and retired from the IBEW, Local 26, in Washington, D.C. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam.

At his death, Kemp was re-joined with the love of his life, his dance partner and wife of 47 years, Sharon L. Kemp. He is survived by his mother, Rosalie Kemp; his siblings, Jean Napolitano, Donna Sanger and her husband, Randy, Patricia Kemp, Michael Kemp and his wife, Melissa, Paul Kemp, Kathie Poplai and her husband, Neal, Patrick Kemp and his wife, Melissa; his dear siblings-in-law, Carol and Tommy Park, Mike and Kasha Helget, and Mary Ann and Donald Maurey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

The family thanked all of his wonderful friends who cared and visited him during this illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 9903 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, Md. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Del., followed by a reception at Bear Trap Dunes, 7 Clubhouse Drive, Ocean View, Del.
