Mary Lou Loveland, 83

Mary Lou Loveland, 83, of Millville, Del., passed away peacefully, surround by her loving family, on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019. She was born in Wilmington, Del., prior to moving to Millville in 1973.

Loveland worked at Mountaire Farms in Selbyville, Del., before retiring in 2001 after 16 years of service. For the last 18 years, she had attended Mariners Bethel United Methodist Church in Ocean View, Del., where she loved being a greeter and volunteering, doing bulletins with the “Bulletin Babes.”

She was known by many as “Mommom Moo.” She was a prime example of a person with cold hands having a warm heart, and she never met a stranger. Loveland loved spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed coffee, chocolate and her cigarettes.

Loveland was preceded in death by her parents, Stella and Earl Jones, and her late husband, Earl G. Loveland. She is survived by her sister Thelma Dobson; her son Robert Anderson and his wife, Susie, and two grandsons, Connor and Chandler; her daughter, Debra Murray and her husband, Neil, two granddaughters, Hilary Joy and her husband, Stevie, Emily Murray and her fiancé, Timmy Dorey. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Paisleigh Joy; a special niece, Sharon Lysinger and her husband, Bill, and their family and many other nieces and nephews; and her extended Loveland family, which included many step-children and their families, and we can’t forget her little four-legged companion, Tater.

Per her wishes, there will be no service. The family asked that people continue to keep her family in their thoughts and prayers, as she will be sadly missed. In memory of her, they suggested, people should spread her kindness. “Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not.” Condolences may be sent online by visiting
