Timothy Dyer ‘Tim’ Einstein, 76

Timothy Dyer “Tim” Einstein, 76, of Ocean View, Del., formerly of Sterling, Va., passed away peacefully at home, with his wife, brother and daughter by his side, on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019. He was born in Baltimore, Md., on June 14, 1943, son of the late Jacob Einstein and Rosamond (Dyer) Einstein.

Einstein graduated from Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School in Easton, Md., and from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md. He worked for several years as a high school Latin teacher before going into the restaurant business. He worked in several restaurants as a kitchen or restaurant manager, most notably Martin’s Tavern in Washington, D.C. After his time in the restaurant industry, he worked for Sallie Mae in computer support before retiring to Ocean View in 2014.

In his spare time, he enjoyed writing beautiful poetry.

Einsteen is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cathleen M. (Scheele) Einstein; a daughter, Sage Hudson and her husband, David, of Frederick, Md.; two grandchildren, Miles and Keir Hudson of Frederick; six siblings, David Einstein and his wife, Debra, of Annapolis, Md., Cassandra Collier and her husband, Peter, of Baltimore, Md., Jacob Einstein and his wife, Cheryl, of Salisbury, Md., Rosamond Einstein of Los Angeles, Calif., Damian Einstein and his wife, Patricia, of Potomac, Md., and Mary Melissa Husser and her husband, Andrew, of Frederick;and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., and friends may visit after 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, Del.
