Med Prep is voluntarily recalling all lots of products compounded at its facility. The recall is targeted at medical providers, including hospital pharmacies and related departments, and physicians' offices.

Wilmington -- The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) and the Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) today announced the completion of the Port of Wilmington Rail Improvement Project. The nearly three million dollar project, jointly developed by Norfolk Southern Railway (NSR), Autoport, and the Diamond State Port Corporation, added side tracks of one-half a mile off the NSR mainline, expanding the handling capacity for Autoport, Inc., from approximately 60 to 90 railcars. Autoport, located adjacent to the Port of Wilmington, handles imports and exports of motor vehicles as well as regional distribution.

PRIME HOOK (March 18, 2013) - The winning entries of the 2013 Delaware Junior Duck Stamp Competition will be judged at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 23 at the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 11978 Turkle Pond Road, Milton. The entries will be displayed at the center until Saturday, March 30.

DOVER (March 18, 2013) - To encourage water conservation and promote wise use of it throughout the state, DNREC's Division of Watershed Stewardship is again offering rain barrels at a discounted price to Delaware residents in April at pickup locations in each county. Having a rain barrel provides an innovative way to capture rainwater from your roof and store it for later use. Water collected from rain barrels can be used to wash cars and to water lawns, gardens and indoor plants.

DOVER (March 18, 2013) - The judges' decisions are in, with five top entries chosen for the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife's 2012 Delaware Hunting Photo Contest. First place was awarded to Robin James of Middletown for "Three Generations," showing her father, MichÆel Sethman, her 2-year-old nephew Zach Sethman, and her brother, Nicholas Sethman, with waterfowl decoys and calls at Augustine Wildlife Area near Delaware City.

DOVER (March 18, 2013) - Meadow habitat is home to many native species in Delaware, from cottontail rabbits and bobwhite quail, to insects and smaller mammals, to nesting wild turkeys. To provide habitat for these and other species, the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife currently maintains several hundred acres of state wildlife areas as meadows, managing low plants such as native grasses and wildflowers.

Representatives from the MichÆel and Susan Dell Foundation will be visiting Delaware Thursday to review the First State's use of its Education Insight system, which allows educators to make data-driven decisions to improve instruction and learning.

Secretary of Education Mark Murphy will announce the state's first Green Ribbon Award winners during a ceremony at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Richardson Park Elementary School.

HOSA students from health science programs throughout the state will compete in events at the Delaware State Fire School on March 19, 20, 26 and 27 and at Delaware State University's Price Building on March 21 and 28.

DOVER (March 15, 2013) - To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware's fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Enforcement agents made 574 contacts with the public, including 23 boating safety checks, in which all vessel operators were found to be in compliance. Agents also responded to 20 complaints and issued 14 citations between March 6 and 13.

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and the National Guard Bureau announced a collaborative effort to place AmeriCorps members in Delaware and locations across the country as part of a new Joining Community Forces initiative.

DOVER (March 14, 2013) - With spring just around the corner and summer not far behind, the marine mammal and sea turtle stranding season also nears, which means beachgoers could soon come upon seals, porpoises, dolphins, sea turtles and occasionally large whales that have stranded on shore or in shallow coastal waters.

DOVER (March 14, 2013) - Wildlife art enthusiasts, stamp and print collectors, waterfowl hunters, anglers, birdwatchers and wetland conservationists will gather at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 11 at the Agriculture Museum and Village in Dover to watch the judging of Delaware's annual Waterfowl Stamp (formerly known as Duck Stamp) and Trout Stamp contests.

DOVER (March 14, 2013) - The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21 on a proposed addition to the state's tidal finfish regulations to include definitions and measures designed to control invasive finfish species in Delaware's tidal waters. The hearing will be held in the DNREC Auditorium at 89 Kings Highway in Dover.
