Richard A. Cobo, 83, of Millsboro, Del., passed away on April 9, 2017.
He served during the Korean War with the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Cobo was a Baltimore City firefighter for 33 years. While there, he campaigned for muscular dystrophy with “Fill the Boot” donations. After retiring from the fire department he resided in Millsboro, Del.
Edward “Sykes” Cropper, 87, of Bishopville, Md., passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born in Salisbury, Md., son of the late Edwin S. and Nellie (Selby) Cropper.
Robert Wayne Evans, 61, of Millsboro, Del., passed away at home with his beloved canine friends, Rambo and Princess at his side. He was born on April 30, 1955, in Lewes, Del., to the late Sherman and Doris Hudson Evans.
He worked for the DuPont Company, for Food Lion for 12 years as a store manager, and currently was a heavy equipment operator for George and Lynch construction company.
Richard Gros, 67, passed away at his home on Dec. 24, 2016. Born in Passaic, N.J., on Sept. 29, 1949, he was the son of the late John Gros and Augusta Veenema.
He married Linda Frey on Feb. 26, 1972, and to this union three children were born: Richard Jr., Christopher and Daniel Gros.
Albert Lee Hagans Jr., 69, was born on Nov. 10, 1947, in Middlesex, N.C., to the late Albert Hagans Sr., and Margie M. Hagans. With his wife by his bedside, he passed away and peacefully entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2017, at his home in Frankford, Del.
Milton G. Lynch, 88, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, surrounded by family at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del. He was born July 25, 1928, in Williamsville, Del., to the late Charlie W. and Mildred (Bunting) Lynch.

Jacqueline “Jackie” T. Rogers, 77, of Bishopville, Md., died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. She was born in Bishopville, Md., daughter of the late Oliver A. and Ruth (Daye) Tingle.
She had been a customer service representative for many years and a homemaker. Rogers was a life member of the Bishopville Vol. Fire Co.
Mary Elizabeth Scott, 73, of Millsboro, Del., passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, with her husband and family at her side.
Scott was born in Daviess County, Ky. on July 4, 1943, and was raised in Steubenville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Dean and Dorothy Barthold Dean; her brother, Roger Dean; and her daughter, Deborah Mann.
Paul Kendall “Ken” Sharp Jr., 78, of Dagsboro, Del., formerly of Wilmington, Del., passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, Del.
He was born in Wilmington on March 11, 1939, son of the late Paul Kendall Sharp Sr. and Frances (Ferguson) Sharp. He retired from DuPont Company and DuPont Merck with over 30 years of service.

Shields was born in Cheverly, Md., on May 14, 1972, to John Ridley Shields Jr. and Beverly Shields-Mahaffey. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John Ridley Shields Sr.

Thomas M. Atkins, 75, of Millsboro, Del., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was born in Millsboro on July 18, 1941, son of the late Jacob Atkins and Emma (Hitchens) Atkins. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Gracie P. Bailey, 78, of Frankford, Del., passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017. Jesus had her come home on a beautiful sunny day to spend Easter with Him and her loving husband, Orville. Bailey was born in Deep Creek, Va., on Feb. 24, 1939, daughter of the late William Parks and Merle (Johnson) Parks.
Hazel M. Baker, 87, of Gumboro, Del., passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. She was born in Millsboro, Del., on May 1, 1929, to the late George W. and Ruth Bowden Dorey.
Mark John Sienkiewicz, 80, of Bear, Del., died on March 31, 2017, of complications from dementia and a broken hip.
Charles Eugene Bowden, 63, of Frankford, Del., passed away at his residence on April 1, 2017, in the care of his family and the nurses of Compassionate Care Hospice. He was born on Oct. 4, 1953, in Salisbury, Md., to the late Charles L. Bowden and Rada B. Donaway Bowden.
Betty Jo Collins, 86, of Millsboro, Del., went to be with her loved ones on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Cora Dorey.
She was a secretary, homemaker and his wife, which filled her life with joy. She retired from the Sussex County Tax Department. She lived all of her life surrounded by family on Zoar Road in Millsboro.

Phyllis Long Donaway, 72, of Frankford, Del., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at her home. She was born in Dagsboro, Del., on July 21, 1944, daughter of the late Everett Lewis Gray Sr. and Lettie (Timmons) Gray.

Elizabeth R. “Bette” (Bamburger) Brosnahan Hartman, 86, of Ocean View, Del., passed away peacefully on April 1, 2017. She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Wilmington, Del., daughter of the late Maximilian Bamburger and Ruth Viola (Vinyard) Bamburger.
Denny Lee Layton, 70, of Georgetown, Del., passed away in the care of his long-time companion, Clara Wootten, and the Delaware Hospice, at his home. He was born on Dec. 2, 1946, to the late Jacob Layton and Florence Ellen Jones Layton.
Layton was a truck driver for Mountaire Farms before retiring and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served for six years in both Korea and Vietnam.
Ondera Jerome “O.J.” Johnson Jr., 32, was born on Sept. 12, 1984, to Tammy Maddox and Ondera Johnson Sr. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 28, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Del.
Margaret Ellen Massey, also known as “Sis,” departed her life on March 24, 2017, at the age of 85, in her home in Frankford, Del.
In her younger days, Massey did a lot of fieldwork, working for Bob Gray and Ellen McGee. She was also employed at Bunting’s Nursery, Budget Inn and Hampton Inn until she retired at 65 in 1997.
Frank Preston Marshall, 93, son of the late Emory C. Marshall and Mary Bell (Murphy) Richardson, was born on Jan. 29, 1924, in Pollocksville, N.C. He departed this life on March 25, 2017.
Helen Ilona Magyari Murray, 95, of Millsboro, Del., passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 31, 2017. She was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Yorkville, Ohio, to Hungarian parents Mary Bogas Magyari and Alex (Sandor) Magyari. The family originated from the Transylvanian region of Hungary, now part of modern Romania.
Michaelina “Mickey” Price, 80, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017, at her home in Lewes, Del., surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 9, 1936, to the late Michael Bachle and Julia (Spanier) Bachle.
