Amelia R. Lynch, 86

Amelia R. Lynch, 86, of Dagsboro, Del., died Saturday, July 22, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Dagsboro.

Lynch was a lifetime member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Dagsboro, a member and officer of Friends of Prince George’s Chapel, a member of Bethel Choir for years and was also active in fundraisers for the church, as well as Prince George’s.

Eileen Marshall, 74, passed away on July 20, 2017, surrounded by family.

She was a homemaker for many years, but her real love was helping people. Marshall helped many people over the course of her life, even right up to the end of her life. Because of her huge heart and humorous spirit, Marshall was loved by many friends.

Karen S. Medes, 69, of Milford, Del., formerly of New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, in Milford Hospital. She was born Aug. 9, 1947, in Pitman, N.J., a daughter of the late Kenneth Simmerman and Edith Elizabeth (Down) Simmerman.

Medes was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Medes. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Anne Corsaro.

Ed Deptula, 89, of Long Neck, Del., passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, July 2, 2017. He was born in Wilmington, Del., on March 20, 1928.

After his stint in the U.S. Army during World War II, Deptula worked at General Motors, followed by the ownership of a successful liquor store. The remainder of his business career was in sales with Rich Wilson.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Lillian and Alphonse Kannengieser. He was married to his beloved wife, Alice, who preceded him in death.

Miles was a pharmaceutical sales rep. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
