Frank E. “Lefty” Grabowski, 73, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Quakertown, Pa., passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017, at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on May 15, 1943, son of the late Stanley Edward Grabowski and Marie Madeline (Mostowa) Grabowski.

Lonnie E. Hopkins, 57, of Millsboro, Del., departed this life on March 14, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes, Del. He was born to Paul Clifton Hopkins and Laura Snead-Hopkins on Feb. 6, 1960.

Hopkins attended Sussex Central High School, Georgetown, Del. He was a former employee of Allen’s Poultry Plant in Harbeson, Del., and Parker Block Co. in Millsboro.

Wenona Weaber, 92, passed away and went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2017. She was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Brandywine, W.Va., to Homer and Minnie Trumbo.

They moved to Illinois, Ohio and then to Chester County, Pa., where she spent her school years.

On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Joan Paroni Neff, 84, of Bethany Beach, Del., formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away, surrounded by family. She was born Aug. 6, 1932, to the late Francis and Regina (O’Lone) Paroni.

In 1956, she married John W. Neff, with whom she had five children before John died tragically in 1963.

Bruce Schoonover, 73

On Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, Bruce Schoonover, 73, of Bethany Beach, Del., died at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his family. He was born in 1944, to the late Robert and Mae Schoonover, in New York City.

Schoonover was highly respected in the telecommunications industry his entire career and enjoyed almost 20 years of retirement. In retirement, he and his wife, Sharon, loved to travel.

Byron Jay “B.J.” Wright, 29, the only son of Byron L. Wright and Vicky L. Norwood, was born on Aug. 21, 1987, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare, surrounded by his family and friends.

Robert P. “Bob” Craig Jr., 67, of Georgetown, Del., formerly of Drexel Hill, Pa., passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Feb. 22, 1950, son of the late Robert P. Craig Sr. and Josephine (Schaffer) Craig. He had worked in property maintenance and construction before his illness.

Helen Dane, 90

Helen Dane, 90, of Dagsboro, Del., passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017. She was born in Hungary in 1926 and arrived in the United States in 1957 with her late husband, Andrew, and their young son, Andy. She and her family settled in Dagsboro soon thereafter, when Andrew Dane was hired by Delmarva Power.

Joseph C. Diehl, 85

Joseph C. Diehl, 85, of Selbyville, Del., died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md. He was born in New Jersey, son of the late Joseph and Annie Diehl.

Diehl had been a truck driver for Yellow Freight Company for many years and was a member of the Fenwick Island Lions Club and Seaside Railroad Club. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
