Adela P. Cain, 68

Adela P. Cain, 68, of Frankford, Del., formerly of Summerville, S.C., passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, April 8, 2012.

Cain was born April 30, 1943, in the Philippines, where she met her husband and moved to the United States in 1968. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, doing yard work, singing and bowling. Cain was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, Del., and of the Philippine Cultural Group in South Carolina. She was also deeply devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cain is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Leroy “Donald” Cain; a daughter, Sunny Cain of Roxana, Del.; two grandsons, Alex and Ace; three sisters, Helen Pinca and Nelly Wolbert, both of the Philippines, and Nory Doyle and her husband, Francis, of Severna Park, Md.; a brother, Gil Pinca of the Philippines; a brother-in-law, Eddie Cain, and his wife, Ellen, of Houston, Del.; a special cousin, Sharon Jones of Salisbury, Md.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation was scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road in Ocean View, Del. A funeral service was set for Saturday, April 14, 2012, at noon at Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church, 81 Central Avenue in Ocean View, where friends and family may call after 11:30 a.m. Interment was to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice; 28467 DuPont Blvd., Unit 6, Suite 6; Millsboro, DE 19966, or to the Alzheimer’s Association of Sussex County; P.O.
