Anna Ruth (Long) Hickman, 92, of Selbyville, Del., passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at home, surrounded by family. She was born in Bishopville, Md., on April 23, 1925, to Elisha D. Long and Edna (Hudson) Long.

Hickman enjoyed taking care of her chickens and raised them for Perdue. She loved the farm life, taking care of her family, going to the beach cottage, cooking, fishing, boating, crabbing and the beach.

In addition to her parents, Hickman was preceded by death by her siblings, Marilyn Lutz and Joshua Long, and her loving husband, Frank E. Hickman. She is survived by her son, Bradford E. Hickman, as well as several nieces and nephews.
