With the summer season nearly upon us, plenty of locals and visitors to the area will be gearing up for plenty of rest and relaxation, and Dianna Moesle, owner of Bethany Massage and Healing Arts, hopes to reverberate that tranquil and soothing ambiance through the business. Having worked there for a year before taking over in late February, Moesle, along with a staff of nationally certified, licensed massage therapists, emphasizes the personal and comfortable experience that Bethany Massage and Healing Arts provides for their clients.

“We really cater to our customers,” Moesle noted. “Bethany Massage has been around for a few decades, so we have very devoted clientele, who have been coming here for a long time. We always work with the client, whether their neck is hurting or their back is giving them problems. We can customize a treatment for and individual so that their experience is exactly what they’re looking for.”

Bethany Massage and Healing Arts, located at 33012 Coastal Highway, Suite 4 in Bethany Beach, offers a variety of massages and treatments, including swedish, deep tissue, sports and pregnancy massages, with other energy modalities expected to make their way to the facility, as well. Bethany Massage also provides craniosacral therapy, which uses a hands-on approach to release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system to alleviate conditions like migraines and motor-coordination impairments, and plans to introduce reiki, a Japanese technique for reducing stress and promoting relaxation that’s based on the idea that an unseen life force energy throws through each individual, once qualified professionals are located. They maintain activity throughout the community, too, providing on-site chair massages to local businesses and at civic events. The massage sessions, designed to enhance the function of joints and muscles, improve circulation and general body tone, restore balance to the nervous system and relieve muscle soreness and stiffness, are available in one-hour or 90-minute durations.

Bethany Massage and Healing Arts is currently open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., seven days a week, but hours are scheduled to extend following the Memorial Day holiday weekend. “It’s important for us to establish a good relationship with our clients,” said Moesle. “If someone wants to schedule a massage earlier in the morning, we’ll go out of our way to offer that little extra.”
