Caroline Mosher, 93

Caroline Mosher, 93, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Goshen, N.Y., passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Millsboro, Del.

Mosher was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Patton, Pa., the second daughter of 11 children born to Boleslaw and Cornelia Kasperkowicz Uszenski. Mosher was a dental assistant who worked in the Bronx before moving to Goshen in the early 1960s. She was married to Kenneth Mosher on July 30, 1960, and they lived in Goshen until 1977, when they moved to Delaware for the remainder of their lives. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2002. In Goshen, Mosher was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church and its Altar Rosary Society. The Goshen house is remembered as the site of many celebrations for family and friends. Mosher was known for always enjoying life and being good to the entire family.

Mosher was also preceded in death by her brothers, Felix, Floyd “Turk,” Andrew, Bernard, Francis “Jack,” Stephen and the Rev. Stanislaus Uszenski; her sisters, Mary Lupinski and Lucy Wilk; and nieces and nephews Tommy Uszenski, Vicki (Wilk) Sholes, Richie Lupinski and Nancy (Uszenski) van der Geest.

Mosher is survived by her brother, John Uszenski and his wife, Barbara, of Elmira, N.Y.; step-daughter, Dorothy and her husband, Robert See, of Yonkers, N.Y.; granddaughter, Cathy and her husband, Richard O’Brien, of Yonkers; grandson, Robert See Jr. of Delaware; great-granddaughter, Morgan O’Brien; great-grandsons Kenneth O’Brien and twins Joseph and James See; a sister-in-law, Mary Uszenski of Franklin, N.J.; 12 nieces and nephews; and other extended family members.

A visitation was scheduled for April 4 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, with funeral mass and interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, both in Pine Island, N.Y. Local arrangements were by Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del. Memorial donations may be made to the Rev. Stanislaus B. Uszenski Scholarship Committee, c/o St. Joseph Church, 14 Glenmere Ave., Florida, N.Y.
