Charles ‘Doll Baby’ Harmon, 87

Charles “Doll Baby” Harmon, 87, of Millsboro, died at Green Valley Terrace on Friday, March 24. He was retired from Bunting’s Nursery in Selbyville. Prior to that, he worked for H&H Poultry in Selbyville for many years.

He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Dagsboro. He loved his family and many grandkids, he liked walking, collecting cans and being with his friends at Brandywine Apartments and the Christian Storehouse.

He is survived by five step-daughters, Lois Handy, Lucinda Taylor, Ernestine Taylor, Lillian Taylor and Marie Taylor; two step-sons, James Taylor and Alaxander Taylor; nieces Ida Mumford, Gloria Jones, Yolanda Griffin, and Heritta Purnell; nephews Clarence Mumford and William Mumford; and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Taylor Harmon, a sister, Corina Mumford, and two step-sons, Robert Taylor and Junior Lee Taylor.

Services were scheduled for Saturday, April 1, at 2 p.m., at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call after 1 p.m., with internment at Zoar Golden Acres Cemetery, Bishopville, Md. at a later date.
