Fox Haven community to hold preview event on Saturday
A new development is on the horizon in the Fenwick Island area, as Fox Haven, a community of “beach country homes,” will soon be offering 76 lot-and-home packages.
Fox Haven will be located on Route 20, a mile north the intersection of Routes 20 and 54, near Johnsons Corner. A preview of Fox Haven will be held on June 30, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Roxana Fire Hall.
“That’s where we plan to hand out the brochures, prices and layouts of the houses,” said Virgil Bullis Sr., a Realtor for Coldwell Banker who will be selling the properties.
The homes in the community are single-family modular styles and will start out at less than $200,000, for 1,200 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, whole-house water shutoff, 9-foot ceilings, 7/12 pitch roof, sodded yards, sidewalks and more.
“If you think about it, they’re better, because they have to travel,” said Bullis of the modular homes. “You really have to build them sturdy enough to travel.”
Fox Haven will have many options, all of which will be covered during Saturday’s preview, including decks and garages.
“We’ll have many options that they’ll be able to choose from: decks, one- to two-car garages. They are real garages. Our garages are going to be big enough to fit a vehicle in there with the doors open. We actually measured a vehicle to make sure they’ll be big enough.”
The Rich Craft-built homes will be offered in seven different models, but Bullis said that, if buyers are interested in a different floor plan than what’s offered, they can make it happen.
“It’s almost like custom. You can just tell us what you want, and we can do it.”
A grand opening will be held on July 28 at 10 a.m., at the Roxana Fire Hall, and Bullis said he hopes the community will have its model home ready and in place to give interested persons a tour that day.
“I’m hoping that that afternoon we’re going to have a little ribbon-cutting,” he added. “The pool will be in and the bath house, but we’re still going to have the opening in Roxana, because there’ll be more room. That’s when we’ll be taking orders, so people can actually purchase.”
At the grand opening, special promotions will be offered to the first 10 buyers, including a 10-year structural warranty and half-off sewer impact fees.
Bullis said Fox Haven has been embraced by those he’s spoken to, and it will be a great addition to the community.
“That area really is growing,” he said. “‘And the interest is really unbelievable. We’re excited. We’re very excited.”
