Helen Louise (Sierer) Gunderman, 85, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Lykens, Pa., passed away on Jan 2, 2018, at the Harbor Healthcare in Lewes, Del. She was born on Sept, 15, 1932, in Wiconisco, Pa.

Gunderman loved fishing, camping and traveling with her husband, John. After many years of vacationing in the area, they moved from Lykens, Pa., to Pot Nets in Long Neck, Del. In Lykens, they raised three children, Sherry Griffith (wife of Thomas) of Kentucky, John Gunderman Jr. (husband of Nancy) of Florida and David Gunderman of North Carolina.

Gunderman was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mildred Sierer, and her late husband, John R Gunderman Sr. Surviving her are her three children, eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren.

The family extended their gratitude to the staff at Harbor Healthcare for their exceptional care and love shown toward Gunderman for the four years she was a resident there.

A funeral service was scheduled for Jan. 6, 2018, at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Del. Burial was to be held privately, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband, John R.
