IRSD to host Pre-School Family Night on March 26

The Indian River School District will host a Pre-School Family Night on Thursday, March 26, at Millsboro Middle School. The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Families and daycare providers in the Indian River School District are being invited to attend. Parents are being encouraged to bring their pre-school child to enjoy an interactive and informative evening.

A light dinner will be provided. Parents and children will then be invited to participate in a variety of "breakout" sessions focusing on math, literacy, music, physical and occupational therapy and parents-as-teachers activities. There will also be information centers for a number of agencies, including Transitioning Our Toddlers To School (TOTS), Imagination Library, social services, the DelTech Resource Center, Telemon Head Start, Child Development Watch and Delaware Autism.

Childcare will also be provided during the event. Registration starts at 5:15 p.m. Any pre-school age child welcome, and activities for older kids will be offered, too, as is designed to be a true "family night."
