James A. Betts, 65
James A. Betts, 65, of Georgetown, Del., passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012, at home, in hospice care, surrounded by his loving family and his dogs.
Born June 26, 1946, in Milford, Del., Betts had served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after working as a truck driver and in many other jobs over the years. He had a unique collection of piggybanks and collectibles. He was known as a caring family man and a friend of Bill W. for more than 12 years.
Betts was preceded in death by his parents, George Albert and Alice Mae Bullock Betts. He is survived by his companion of nine years, Judy Vennell; three children, Yvonne Lallier and her husband, Mark, of Milton, Del., Charles Betts and his wife, Ann, of Milford, and David Strail of Georgetown; a brother, Barry A. Betts and his wife, Sandy, of Milton; six grandchildren, Mark Lallier Jr., Nicole Lallier, Sara Lallier, Courtney Betts, Taylor Lallier and Savannah Kelley; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends across the region; and his beloved canine friends Snoopy, Lucy, Gigi, Roscoe and Flash.

David Kiser was to officiate. Interment with military honors was to follow at the Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro. Condolences may be sent online at www.watsonfh.com.
