James Sockriter, 41

James Sockriter, 41, of Georgetown, Del., passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

Born Feb. 26, 1971, in Milford, Sockriter was a maintenance technician for the State of Delaware, working in facilities management. He loved bowling, fishing and any kind of sports. He especially was an Eagles fan. He was well-known as a laid back “home boy” who was an extremely friendly, outgoing and giving person.

Sockriter is survived by his wife, Patricia, whom he married in 1995. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Jean and Cordia Warrington; his son, Colby Sockriter; daughter, Hayley Sockriter; goddaughter, Jenna Penuel; one brother, Kevin Sockriter; one sister, Billie Jean Sockriter; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Services for Sockriter were to be private.
