Joan Capone, 83, passed away on Jan. 1, 2018, at home in Dagsboro, Del.

A native of Montgomery County, Md., she lived in Washington, D.C., and then for 33 years in Clinton, Md., where she and her husband, Tony, raised their four children. Capone worked for Prince George’s County for many years as an aide on a bus that transported special-needs children to school. The couple retired to coastal Delaware nearly 25 years ago.

Capone is survived by her husband, Tony; two sons, Joe and his wife, Shereen, and Danny; daughters Lisa Dorn and her husband, Dwight, and Patti Smith and her husband, Ken; a granddaughter, Stephanie Dorn; her sisters Kathleen Main, Helen Blue and her husband, Ken, and Mary Bernadette Byrne; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass in honor of her life will be held on Saturday, Jan, 6, 2018, at 1 p.m., at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, Del.
